Professor Zhendong Lei Receives the 5th Qingshan Science and Technology Award

Recently, the list of winners of the 5th (2025) Qingshan Science and Technology Award was officially announced. A total of 10 young scholars nationwide received the honor, and Professor Zhendong Lei from CESE was among the awardees. In response to China's major strategic needs for ecological and environmental protection and pollution prevention and control, Professor Lei focuses on the preparation and environmental application of carbon-based composite materials, and has made a series of innovative achievements in areas including environmental membrane materials, catalytic materials, and resource utilization. It is understood that the Qingshan Science and Technology Award is a public welfare award launched by Meituan in 2021 to support young scientists, with a focus on green, low-carbon and sustainable development. The award is reviewed and presented annually, with no more than 10 winners each time.
