CESE Hosts 7th National College Students’ Municipal Environmental AI+ Competition

From September 20 to 21, 2025, the finals of the 7th National College Students’ Municipal Environmental AI+ Innovation and Practical Ability Competition, jointly organized by CESE, were successfully held in Hainan. Officially launched in June 2025, the competition was themed “Intelligence Converges for the Future City: AI Empowers Green Innovation in Municipal Environments” and adopted an organizational model promoting collaboration across education, industry, research, government, and international partners.

This year’s competition reached an unprecedented scale, covering all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government in China. A total of 2,511 undergraduate students from 140 universities, 183 graduate students, and multiple international teams enthusiastically participated in the event.
