On January 9, 2025, our college and MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group jointly held a signing and plaque-awarding ceremony for an industry-education integration innovation practice base. This collaboration aims to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, promote in-depth integration of industry, academia, and research, and foster innovative and practical talent. Fan Wanzhu, Party Secretary and Chairman of MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group; Wang Guojiu, Assistant to the General Manager; Gao Xingang, Head of the Science, Technology, and Information Management Department and the Operations Management Department; Zhang Chao, Head of the Market Development Department and General Manager of the Wuhan Company; Xu Bin,Secretary of the College Party Committee; Wu Deli and Zheng Xiong, Vice Deans; relevant responsible persons from MCC Group; and representatives of professors from our college attended the event.

The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Wu Deli. He stated that the research directions of CESE are highly aligned with the technological development plans of MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group and closely related to its production and operation directions. He looked forward to multi-dimensional and in-depth cooperation between the two parties in areas such as ecological and environmental protection to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Dean Fan Wanzhu expressed gratitude for the warm reception from CESE and hoped that both parties would take the establishment of the industry-education integration innovation practice base as an opportunity to drive technological innovation and progress in university-enterprise collaboration, facilitate the transformation of technological achievements from universities, expand the cultivation of professional talent for enterprises, and jointly seek development.
At the meeting, professors from CESE presented special technical reports on the new technology of High-Concentration Composite Powder Carrier Bio-Fluidized Bed (HPB) and the progress of national key R&D projects in soil remediation. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges. They also negotiated and reached a consensus on cooperation in talent cultivation, technological breakthroughs, non-degree education and training, and the co-construction and sharing of platform bases, followed by a signing and plaque-awarding ceremony.
This collaboration will provide a platform for practical teaching and scientific research innovation for faculty and students of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University, while injecting new vitality into the development of MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group in the field of environmental governance.
