On March 3, 2025, a delegation from Ningbo Water Affairs and Environmental Group, led by Liu Chengyin, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice Chairman, and General Manager, visited the College of Environmental Science and Engineering (CESE) to foster collaboration in technological innovation and talent cultivation. The visiting team included Peng Hanhui, Shen Hao, Liu Zhigang, and Ren Junda, representing key departments within the Group. From CESE, Dean Wang Zhiwei, Deputy Secretary Lu Lijun, Vice Deans Wu Deli and Zheng Xiong, and Professor Xin Kunlun attended the meeting. The seminar was chaired by Vice Dean Wu Deli.
Dean Wang Zhiwei warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the college’s commitment to advancing industry-academia integration. Vice Dean Wu Deli presented a detailed overview of CESE’s academic strengths, research progress, and disciplinary development. Liu Chengyin introduced Ningbo Water Affairs and Environmental Group’s comprehensive industry chain layout and ongoing digital transformation, expressing strong interest in partnering with CESE to drive innovation-led development.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on joint research and development, transformation of scientific achievements, and project cooperation in areas such as smart water systems, wastewater treatment, and water environment governance. Agreements were reached on several key points: establishing internship and practice bases, launching joint talent cultivation mechanisms, and enhancing information sharing to support graduate employment.
Additionally, both parties explored potential cooperation in postdoctoral training and professional development within the water affairs sector. The meeting concluded with a consensus to establish a regular cooperation framework, setting the stage for sustained collaboration in smart water technology, environmental solutions, and talent development.
