President Xi Jinping emphasized in the report of the 20th Party Congress that "the youth of today's China are born at the right time, and the stage for their talents is immensely broad, and the prospect of realizing their dreams is immensely bright". Wang Ying is the Vice Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor.
She has been selected as a member of the Shanghai Young Scientist Program, the National Young Talents and Leading Talents Program, Member of the Professional Committee of the Young Scientists Branch of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, etc. She is also a researcher (lead author) of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) of the United Nations Environment Programme, the chief lead author of the Asia-Pacific region for the youth edition of GEO, a youth editorial board member of the Journal of Environmental Chemistry, and a member of the National Technical Committee for the Standardization of Waste Chemical Disposal. She received the Youth May Fourth Medal of Tongji University in 2022.
She is mainly responsible for teaching environmental science and sustainable development in higher education; and she has trained 20 domestic and foreign postgraduates; in 2017, she won the "Special Award" for teaching achievements of Tongji University and the title of "My Good Tutor" of Tongji University; in 2018, she was awarded the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement in Higher Education.
