College of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tongji University Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Yangtze River Eco-environment Engineering Research Center of Three Gorges Corporation

On March 13, 2021, College of environmental science and engineering of Tongji University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yangtze River Eco-environment Engineering Research Center of Three Gorges Corporation in Shanghai. The signing ceremony was attended by Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering XU Zuxin, Tongji Party Executive Deputy Secretary FENG Shenhong, Vice President HUANG Xiangfeng, Party Secretary of Tongji CESE LIU Jianxiong, Dean DAI Xiaohu, Chief Economist of Three Gorges Corporation WU Haibin and Director of Environmental Protection Department and Eco-environment Engineering Research Center, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and General Manager of Yangtze River Eco-environment Protection Group Co., Ltd WANG Dianchang.

According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out comprehensive cooperation in technology research and development, personnel training and laboratory construction, etc.

Focus on new technologies and intelligent decision support for pollution control of municipal drainage system and WWTPs-pipe network-rive-lake integrated control, collaborative disposal and resource utilization of multi-source sludge, urban black and odorous water treatment and ecological restoration, new low-carbon and ecological rural sewage treatment technologies and devices, and response mechanism of micro ecosystem for new pollutants in water environment, the two sides will jointly develop relevant complete sets of technology, equipment and products, build a research team and test base, apply for the construction of National Engineering Research Center, and explore a new mode of enterprise-university research cooperation. The two sides will jointly promote project research and development, engineering practice, achievement promotion and platform construction, creat a model of cooperation and innovation between central enterprises and key universities in the new era, and provide powerful scientific and technological support for the "two wings flying" strategy of clean energy and eco-environmental protection of the Three Gorges Corporation.
