Recruitment of Full-time researchers/post-doctor for Dean Dai's Research Group from College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University

The main researches of Professor Dai, Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University focus on : 1) mechanism and key technologies of advanced anaerobic digestion of urban organic matters and sludge;2) effective pre-treatment technologies of urban organic matter and sludge;3) efficient collaborative resource utilization technologies of urban organic matter and sludge; 4) new principles and technologies of raw sewage separation, quality separation and sub-item resource utilization, and nutrient recovery;5) Key technologies for energy consumption reduction in digital sewage treatment plants.

Professor Dai received a doctor's degree in BoHongLuEr University, German, in 1992. He is now the Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, director of the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Pollution Control, member of the Advisory Committee of Engineering Materials Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, member of the General expert group of National Major Science and Technology Project of China, convener of the expert group of "Waste Recycling" of the National 13th Five-Year Key Research Plan, Fellow of the International Water Association (IWA). Professor Dai has successfully undertaken the 863 key projects, National Science and Technology Support Projects, National Major Science and Technology Projects, National Natural Science Foundation Key Projects, and won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Invention in 2017.

To meet the needs of research work, we are now looking for full-time researchers and post-doctor fellows. Welcome outstanding talents who are interested in scientific research to apply. The specific announcement is as follows:

 [Research Direction]

Mathematical simulation of sewage treatment process, big data analytics, algorithm research and software programming, etc. (1 full-time researcher, 1-2 post-doctoral fellows)

New principles and new technologies of sludge and urban organic matter treatment and Disposal (1 full-time researcher, 1-2 post-doctoral fellows)

New principles and technologies of raw sewage separation, quality separation and sub-item resource utilization, and nutrient recovery (1 full-time researcher, 1-2 post-doctoral fellows)

[Application requirements]

[1] Doctor degree from domestic and foreign universities or scientific research institutions;

[2] Direction (1) should have research background of Mathematics and software development; Directions (2) and (3) should have a background of microbiology or chemistry;

[3] Good English reading and writing skills;

[4] Good research foundation and independent research ability;

[5] In principle, the age of full-time researchers should not be more than 40 years old, and post-doctoral researchers should not be more than 35 years old (applicants with other excellent conditions can be appropriately relaxed);

[6] Strong sense of responsibility, dedication, organization and coordination ability and team spirit;

[7] Come to work as soon as possible once employed.

[Responsibilities]

[1] To Assist and participate in National Projects and Research Projects undertaken by the research group;

[2] To assist and guide the work of graduate students;

[3] Complete other tasks assigned by the research group.

[Employment Term treatment]

[1] The welfare benefits shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and Tongji University, and the research group has an internal reward system (full-time researchers will be given 150,000 to 400,000 yuan per year according to the research results and achievements during the employment period; No less than 250,000 yuan per year for post-doctor candidates;

[3] Provide good experimental conditions and sufficient scientific research funds;

[4] During the post-doctor appointment period, each employment period of full-time researchers is three years in accordance with the regulations of Tongji University. Outstanding researchers can be further employed, or be recommended to work in relevant units first.
