Students from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering Conduct Ecological and Environmental Research and Exchange Studies Across China

In July, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering organized several practice teams to conduct research and study tours in Hong Kong, Jiangxi Province, Hainan Province, and other locations, focusing on topics such as marine ecology, green industries, and the dual-carbon strategy. During the Hong Kong study tour, faculty and students participated in a joint summer school focusing on cutting-edge topics such as marine carbon cycling, emerging contaminants, and blue carbon, and conducted field visits to solid waste-to-energy recovery facilities. In Jinggangshan, Jiangxi, the practice team integrated red education with professional services, engaging in in-depth exchanges with local governments and enterprises on ecological agricultural technologies and green food industries, further promoting the implementation of cooperation. During the Hainan island-wide study tour, the team systematically investigated county-level ecological governance, waste-to-energy incineration, mangrove blue carbon ecology, and nuclear zero-carbon energy, exploring diverse pathways for low-carbon development. This series of practices, rooted in the national need for ecological civilization construction, guided young students to deepen their professional understanding through hands-on experience, applying their knowledge to real-world problems and fulfilling their green responsibilities through concrete action.
