The 12th National Symposium on Water Disinfection and Disinfection By-Products Control Held in Shanghai

From July 6 to 7, the 12th National Symposium on Water Disinfection and Disinfection By-Products Control, hosted by Tongji University, was held in Shanghai. Ren Haijing, Deputy Director of the Urban Construction and Renewal Division of the Center for Science, Technology and Industrialization Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Gao Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Urban Water Association; Gao Wei, Party Secretary of Shanghai Chengtou Water Group Co., Ltd.; and Xu Bin, Party Secretary of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, delivered addresses at the symposium.

The symposium focused on disinfection and disinfection by-product control in water treatment plants, distribution networks, and secondary water supply systems. It attracted over 200 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from universities, research institutes, industry associations, water utilities, and equipment manufacturers, who engaged in in-depth exchanges on relevant scientific research innovations, process technologies, and management experiences. The successful symposium established a high-level exchange platform for the field of water disinfection and disinfection by-product control in China, promoting the deep integration of research frontiers, engineering practice, industry management, and industrial application.
