Project Led by Our College Selected into First Batch of National Typical Cases of Digital Education "Going Global"

Recently, at the 2026 World Digital Education Conference, the Ministry of Education officially released the first batch of 20 national typical cases of digital education "going global". The project Digital Empowerment for South-South Co-governance: A "Point-Chain-Network" Global Capacity Building Model for Environmental Sustainable Development, led by the UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD), was successfully selected.

Targeting countries along the Belt and Road and South-South cooperation countries, Tongji University has built a global sustainable development capacity building system centered on all-round digital empowerment, integrating hundreds of digitally empowered courses, intelligent agents and other digital teaching resources, and systematically rolling out the system through the Belt and Road Alliance of Environmental School Deans (covering 82 universities in 38 countries). The series of achievements have won the "Special Contribution Award" of the UN South-South Cooperation, realizing the global promotion of China's environmental governance experience and digital education model.
