Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment Visits College for Exchange

Recently, a delegation led by Tang Jiafu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, visited the college for a research exchange focusing on technological innovation, achievement transformation, and government-industry-university-research collaboration in the ecological and environmental field. Tongji University Party Secretary Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Party Secretary Liu Run, college professors and Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians Duan Ning and Xu Zuxin, along with college Party Secretary Xu Bin and Dean Wang Zhiwei, attended the exchange. In-depth discussions were held on water ecological environment governance, solid waste resource utilization, emerging pollutant control, smart environmental protection development, carbon neutrality, and green development. Both sides agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism and build a collaborative innovation model integrating industry, academia, research, and application, with practical cooperation in strategic consulting, key technology research, innovation platform co-development, and talent cultivation, jointly contributing to the green and integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
