Recently, CESE held a seminar on reforming the graduation design (thesis) process for the Class of 2026. The meeting featured in-depth discussions on key aspects, including topic selection review, process management, quality standards, and faculty allocation.
Several consensus points were reached: first, to strengthen full-process management and clarify responsibilities at critical stages such as proposal defense and mid-term inspections; second, to balance the quantity and quality of drawings, guide students to emphasize design depth and standardization, and enhance the assessment of comprehensive skills, including technical and economic analysis; third, to implement a “supervisor team” model to foster the development of young teachers’ guidance capabilities.
