The Shanghai “Super Postdoc” Incentive Plan is a “trump card” project for Shanghai to gather and retain outstanding young scientific researchers. Since its implementation in 2018, each selected outstanding postdoc has been given a subsidy of 300,000 yuan by the city of Shanghai, and the hosting unit provides no less than 1:1 matching funds. The aim is to guarantee and improve the treatment level of outstanding postdoctoral researchers, further stimulate the innovative vitality of young professionals and technical talents, and deepen the construction of the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center with a global influence.
CESE attaches great importance to the construction of a postdoctoral team, and has built a complete postdoctoral management system to provide guarantees for the growth and development of postdocs. At present, CESE strongly supports postdocs in applying for projects such as the Shanghai “Super Postdoc” Incentive Plan, widely attracting outstanding young talents from home and abroad with good scientific research potential, academic ethics, and innovative ability, and strives to build a postdoc team with both scale and quality to serve the construction of first-class disciplines in the institute.
