Two Talent Cultivation Practices from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering Selected as "2025 University Dual-Carbon Practice Education Typical Cases"

In July, the Carbon Neutrality and Clean Energy Education Professional Committee of the China Association of Higher Education announced the results of the selection of 2025 University Dual-Carbon Practice Education Typical Cases. Two talent cultivation practice cases from Tongji University were successfully selected.

Case 1: Tongji University – "Environmental Science-Accountancy Dual Bachelor's Degree" Dual-Carbon Composite Talent Cultivation Typical Case. Using "carbon knowledge" as a link, the project embodies the concept of "solid foundation, emphasis on practice, and promotion of cross-disciplinarity," deeply integrating environmental, management, and accounting disciplines. Systematic innovations have been made in the teaching system, faculty allocation, practice models, and operational management.

Case 2: East-West Collaboration, Three Crossings and Three Integrations: A Cross-Regional Talent Cultivation Practice of the "Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality" Micro-Major. Leveraging the "dual-core" collaboration between Tongji University and Xinjiang University, and in partnership with Kashi University, Jinggangshan University, and universities in Northeast Shanghai, the project has constructed a "one body, two wings" cross-regional education model. Since its launch three years ago, approximately 200 students from different universities and majors in Shanghai and Xinjiang have enrolled.
