Academician Menachem Elimelech Appointed Honorary Professor of Tongji University and Delivers Lecture

From January 9 to 10, 2026, Professor Menachem Elimelech, Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited CESE and attended the ceremony for his appointment as Honorary Professor of Tongji University. Xiangning Li, Vice President of Tongji University, presented him with the appointment letter. Professor Elimelech also delivered a lecture titled "Membrane Technologies for a Thirsty World: Engineering Solutions for Global Water Security" at the Tongji University Distinguished Lecture Series for faculty and students from both on- and off-campus. The lecture bridged theoretical depth with practical engineering applications, offering a cutting-edge academic perspective for addressing global water scarcity and security challenges.
