In July 2025, CESE undergraduate students formed five practice teams and embarked on summer practice and ecological environment research activities in Italy, Germany, Singapore, as well as in Hainan Province and the Yangtze River Delta region in China. Three practice teams visited globally renowned institutions of higher learning, including the University of Florence, Technical University of Munich, and Nanyang Technological University. They also engaged in hands-on learning at local water conservancy systems, water treatment plants, and resource recycling bases. Through a combination of academic discussions, on-site visits, and cultural immersion, the students broadened their international perspectives and gained in-depth insights into environmental protection concepts and practices within diverse cultural contexts. The other two teams conducting practices at Beitaihu Lake and Dianshan Lake for lake water ecology monitoring and ecosystem studies, and to Hainan to learn about grassroots ecological governance, forest ecological conservation, and practical examples of regional sustainable development. Through lectures, field research, analytical studies, and presentation exchanges, the students embodied the ecological civilization concept of "harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.", reinforced their understanding of environmental science theories and methods and translated classroom knowledge into practice.
