In December 2024, the project titled "Distributed Gas Sensors and Real-Time Online Monitoring System for Special Environments," led by Researcher Lei Zhendong, in collaboration with Tongji University and Dongyang Jipei Institute of Advanced Materials and Devices, won the Gold Medal at the 28th National Invention Exhibition. The exhibition was held in conjunction with the "Belt and Road" and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competitions.

The National Invention Exhibition, established in 1985, is the only large-scale scientific and technological exhibition in China dedicated to innovation and invention. It serves as a major platform for showcasing inventions, promoting innovative projects, and facilitating technology trade exchanges.
