Micro-major “Ecological Protection and Green Low-Carbon Development have been successfully implemented

On September 16, 2023, the ceremony of the cross-university micro-major “Ecological Protection and Green Low-Carbon Development” between Tongji University and Xinjiang University was held in Room 407, South Building, Siping Road Campus.

To meet the strategic needs of implementing ecological priority and green low-carbon development in the context of the new era, practice the major historical mission of ecological protection, and follow the hot topics of dual carbon at home and abroad, Tongji University and Xinjiang University jointly launched the micro-major “Ecological Protection and Green Low-Carbon Development.” This initiative provides a good interdisciplinary learning platform to help students understand the concept of ecological civilization and carbon neutrality, deeply study the advantages of renewable energy, green low-carbon technology, and other future development trends, cultivate students’ low-carbon strategic thinking, enhance technological innovation awareness, broaden their horizons, and shape compound talents with a multidisciplinary background and a high sense of social responsibility.
