Academician Xu Zuxin was invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the Hainan Free Trade Port Lecture Series

On November 4, 2023, the 6th session of the Hainan Free Trade Port Lecture Series was held in Haikou. Xu Zuxin, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, and the chief engineer of the "Six Waters Joint Governance" technology in Hainan Province, was invited to deliver a keynote lecture. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Committee, and Liu Xiaoming, the governor and current provincial leader, attended the event.

Academician Xu Zuxin delivered a keynote lecture titled "Key Issues in Water Environment Governance in Urban and Rural Areas in China’." She combined her extensive experience in water pollution control and practical experience in Hainan to analyze the current situation of water environment governance in urban and rural areas in China. She systematically elaborated on the key aspects of urban and rural water environment governance in the context of Hainan's "Six Waters Joint Governance" initiative. Additionally, she shared the experience of water environment governance in Shanghai's Suzhou River.
