Focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Ecological Civilization, Collaborative Innovation to Promote the Development of Green Industries-Joint activities of the CPC Party branch of the Environmental Management Institute and the CP

On the afternoon of May 19, 2020, the CPC Party branch of the Environmental Management Institute of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tongji University and the Party branch of the Green Technology Development Office of the Green Technology Bank (Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center) had a Zoom live conference themed Green Industry Development" through the room.

Hai Long, Director of the Green Technology Development Office of the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center, analyzed the successful cases of international green industry cooperation and development in the Green Technology Bank. Director Ren introduced the China-Cambodia Water Park Construction Project through four aspects: project excavation, project introduction, project progress and project evaluation, and put forward a green technology bank operating model which relies on the core technology of water purification, supplemented by training the local technical team. The model has successfully come up with many solutions for the planning, construction, operation, maintenance management and promotion of water supply areas through joint investment and construction with local governments and enterprises.

In addition, Ms. Guo Ru from the CPC Party Branch of the Environmental Management Institute gave a report on the theme of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Ecological Civilization, introducing the background, actual needs and main content of the SDGs. She also pointed out that while emphasizing the need for coordinated action for global sustainable development, China's ecological civilization construction is directly and closely related to the SDGs system, which is also the "golden key" to handle the current global crisis.

Finally, the participants had a warm discussion on the content of the above report and related matters. They also had a comprehensive exchange on how to more effectively deepen the cooperation between the two party branches and improve the effectiveness of the business work under the leadership of CPC. The two party branches agreed that the joint activity successfully achieved the expected goals.
