College of Environmental Science and Engineering Held the Pre-Trip Education for Overseas Programs

The pre-trip education on overseas programs for students from College of Environmental Science and Engineering was carried out on June 3, 2019. Xin Qian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, was the keynote speaker of this pre-trip education.

Miss Qian introduced the relevant regulations about the government-sponsored overseas study in Tongji University and College of Environmental Science and Engineering. Miss Qian said that a student must apply for overseas programs as required in the university’s system before leaving the country as well as accept the relevant pre-trip education organized by the university and the college. At the same time, she encouraged students who will study and practice abroad to improve their ability and enrich themselves. In addition, it was emphasized that students should ensure their health and travel safety. After the successful completion of the mission, they should return to China as scheduled, register in the college within one week after arrival and accomplish relevant procedures in time. After returning to the university, the students should communicate and share their experience with their college classmates. Besides, Miss Chang Xu introduced the updated processes of going abroad, explained the steps involved in registering after coming back for the convenience of the students.

Finally, Miss Qian emphasized that the students studying overseas should always have a sense of national responsibility, seize the opportunity, enrich themselves, never forget their original intention and forge ahead
